EVENT DETAILS

Let us take you to Mexico City and show you how to make proper tacos! Get your ingredients ready and join us for a Zoom virtual cooking class. Video on is recommended but not mandatory. You'll be muted upon entry, can interact and ask questions via chat or by unmuting yourself.

INGREDIENTS (serves 3-4)

MEAT MARINADE 

  • 1.5 lbs (660g) skirt steak
  • 4 oz (120 ml) soy sauce
  • 2 oz (60 ml) beer of your choice
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1-2 minced garlic clove
  • 2 oz (60 ml) olive oil

SALSA TAQUERA

  • 2 roma tomatoes (medium size)
  • 1-2 garlic cloves
  • 1/4 onion
  • 1/2 chile of your choice, fresh or drIed (i.e. jalapeño, serrano or chile de árbol)
  • salt & pepper to taste

GUACAMOLE TAQUERO

  • 2 avocados
  • juice from 2 limes
  • 1/4 fresh chile verde of your choice (i.e. jalapeño or serrano)
  • 2 oz (60 ml) milk
  • salt & pepper to taste

PICO DE GALLO

  • 1 red tomato
  • 1/4 onion
  • 1 small bundle of fresh cilantro
  • 1 lime or lemon
  • salt & pepper to taste

TACOS 

  • 9-12 flour or corn tortillas
  • 2-4 lemon slices to serve

TOPPING (OPTIONAL)

  • 3 green onions
  • 1-2 Anaheim Chiles
  • ½ green or purple cabbage

KITCHEN TOOLS

  • tongs
  • cutting board
  • sharp knife
  • 3 bowls for salsas
  • blender
  • grilling pan if possible
  • non stick pan
  • spoons
  • spatula

ABOUT CHEF NATALIA LUNA

Passionate Mexican Cook with almost 10 years of experience in Food Services & Teaching Traditional Mexican Cooking. She had the opportunity to study at the National School of Mexican Gastronomy in Mexico City. She has successfully hosted Mexican Cooking Experiences since 2017 in person & online. Her Mexican Salsas Experience is listed as 20 of the Best Experiences in Latin America by BuzzFeed. Has also been featured in the L.A. Times and Hoy Los Ángeles.
