What a better way to celebrate Hispanic Heritage than taking a culinary trip down to Perù and taste the flavors of Cusco. Join Chef Jesus Alexander, live from Cusco as he shows how to make one of Perù’s most popular dish: Ceviche.

We believe access to this cooking class should be free, to help people understand the richness of Latin culture. However, we encourage you to support our non-profit partners by purchasing the Donation ticket type, donations will benefit Chirla, an organization focused on helping latino immigrants and refugees.

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 oz (150 g) fresh fish filet without skin and bones*
  • 6 limes
  • 2 oranges
  • 1 limo chili or habanero chili
  • 1 sweet potato
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 corn
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon grated garlic
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 lettuce leaf
  • salt to taste

ABOUT CHEF JESUS ALEXANDER 

Chef Jesus Alexander was born in Piura-Perú. Since he was a child he was really passionate about peruvian cooking. In 2006 he started working as a professional chef in many restaurants based in his Country, he has also taught Peruvian dishes to people who visited the ancient Inca city of Cusco, where he lives with his family.
