EVENT DETAILS

A Crêpe is a type of very thin pancake, they are usually of two types: sweet crêpes and savoury galettes. Crêpes are served with a variety of fillings, with Chef Fiona Lafon you will learn how to make a delicous and sweet filling with Chocolate and roasted Hazelnuts on the top. Crêpes are perfect for your breakfast or quick meals!

INGREDIENTS LIST

  • 2 cups (500 g) of milk
  • ¼ cup + 2 tablespoons (75 g) sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • ½ teaspoon flavoring (vanilla, rhum, orange blossom, or another flavoring of your choice
  • 2 cups (250 g) flour
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 3-4 tablespoons butter (for cooking)

CHOCOLATE GANACHE 

  • 3.5 oz (100 g) milk chocolate chips (or finely chopped from a bar)
  • ⅓ cup (70 g) heavy cream

SALTED CARAMEL 

  • ½ cup (100 g) sugar
  • ½ cup (120 g) heavy cream
  • ½ teaspoon (2 g) sea salt
  • 3 tablespoons (42 g) butter, cut into cubes

ROSTED HEZELNUTS

  • 2 oz (50 g) hazelnuts

Fiona Lafon is the cofounder of Appart Gourmand, a project born in Paris as way to teach cooking classes to travelers. Fiona has a bachelor's degree in tourism, has worked and lived in the United States and Australia. She obtained her CAP Pastry chef and has worked in France in places like Bogato, Lilu of the Valley and L'Eclair de Genie. Designed as a real place to live, Appart Gourmand welcomes you and transmits you a unique know-how: The French Art of Living & Gastronomy in its diversity.
