 A CAFFÈ VERGNANO PROJECT

"Our awareness of women making up the vast majority of the workforce within coffee cultivation gave rise to Women in Coffee. It’s a fundraising initiative founded in 2019 to support concrete projects aimed at enhancing and promoting the role of women in coffee plantations. The project was developed in collaboration with the IWCA – International Women’s Coffee Alliance, a non-profit organization whose mission is to support women who produce coffee to achieve an economically sustainable life. Every year, together with the IWCA, we select a project to support that becomes the new chapter of a story in which coffee always plays the main role. Women in Coffee is not just about charity – it is a commitment to raise awareness on one aspect of the coffee industry that is widely unknown. A meeting of shared values, which start in a coffee cup and speak of empowerment, inclusion, and sustainability."
