Pearl River Deli's owner and chef Johnny Lee shares a few recipes to celebrate Lunar New Year. Lee is a native Angeleno who has worked in the Los Angeles restaurant industry for over a decade. He has helped run local favorite concepts such as Sticky Rice, Eggslut, and Sidechick before opening his own Pearl River Deli.
Pearl River Deli opened in Chinatown a few month before the pandemic and was quickly rated one of the most exciting restaurants to eat in Los Angeles (New York Times, June 2021).
A strong focus on Asian cuisines approached with traditional techniques but taking into account modern ingredient sourcing defines his cooking style which he happily shares with his fellow Angelenos.
